"The goal was to rethink what a country club could be," Alex Hammill of Innovative Club Management told Edmond Outlook this spring. He was describing the multimillion-dollar overhaul of the golf course and clubhouse at Rose Creek Country Club, 17031 N. May Ave.
Most of that rethinking happens behind a membership card. The Retreat, the club's new amenity building, was designed for members. But it also brought a public coffee café inside, and that café opens hours before the club's public restaurant serves lunch. Until recently, a non-member's day at Rose Creek began in late morning. Now it can start with coffee at 7 a.m. For a Rose Creek household that lives inside the gate without belonging to the club, that changes how much of the clubhouse is actually theirs to use.
The current version of the club traces back to early 2022, when Innovative Club Management bought Rose Creek with private equity from local investors. Golf Oklahoma reported that the previous owner was Houston-based Tour 18. By December of that year, Edmond Business was running the headline "Rose Creek invests $6 million in renovations." That figure covered the broader course and clubhouse work.
The Retreat was announced in 2023 as phase two of that investment. Club + Resort Business said it was "scheduled for unveiling in 2024." The plans published on OKCTalk included an 18-hole miniature golf course, a teen zone and daycare, and a barber shop. The finished building lists a 19-hole putting course instead and does not list the other two. By April 2026, Edmond Outlook described The Retreat as "fully open and operating as a central part of the club." Today the club's own page reads "OFFICIALLY OPEN."
The Edmond Outlook feature also named the two spaces in the club that are open to the public: Neighborhood Provisions, the restaurant, and Maple & Honey Coffee Co., the café inside The Retreat. Line up their posted hours and you can see how far the public side of the club now reaches.
These hours come from Neighborhood Provisions and Maple & Honey as currently posted.
| Day | Maple & Honey café | Neighborhood Provisions |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 7 a.m. to noon | Closed |
| Tuesday | 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Lunch 11 to 5, dinner 5 to 9, social hour all day |
| Wednesday | 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Lunch 11 to 5, dinner 5 to 9, social hour 3 to 6 |
| Thursday | 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Lunch 11 to 5, dinner 5 to 9, social hour 3 to 6 |
| Friday | 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Lunch 11 to 5, dinner 5 to 10, social hour 3 to 6 |
| Saturday | 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Lunch 11 to 5, dinner 5 to 10, social hour 3 to 6 |
| Sunday | 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Brunch 10 to 4, dinner 5 to 9, social hour 3 to 6 |
From Tuesday through Saturday, someone without a membership has somewhere open at the club for at least 13 straight hours. On Fridays that runs from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Sundays the café and the brunch service overlap from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and there's an hour's gap between brunch ending at 4 and dinner starting at 5. Monday is the exception. Coffee stops at noon, and the restaurant doesn't serve until Tuesday.
Social hour runs all day Tuesday and from 3 to 6 p.m. the rest of the week, with $4 draft beer, $5 wine by the glass and $6 signature and well cocktails.
Maple & Honey describes itself as a women- and veteran-owned Oklahoma coffee company. It started as a drive-thru at Waterloo, 6801 N. Broadway in Edmond, and has since added the Rose Creek café and a mobile trailer called the Pink Pony Club. The company's site lists the Rose Creek café at 17001 N. May Ave., inside The Retreat, and calls it "open to everyone," with "plenty of room to stay awhile." The coffee is organic Arabica, and the menu covers coffee, specialty drinks and Lotus energy drinks.
The October 2026 seasonal lineup is made up of limited-time drinks:
If you plan to bring a laptop, ask at the counter first. Edmond Outlook reported that guests can use the café's lounge and co-working space. The club's Retreat page, however, describes the Maple & Honey co-working lounge as built for members.
Neighborhood Provisions has been open to the public since the first round of renovations. Chef Jim Camp has been part of the concept since ICM developed it. The restaurant's site shows Top 5 finalist badges for Best Chef in the 405 in 2025 and 2026, Best Brunch in 2026, and Best Happy Hour in both years. The current brunch menu, revised in May 2026, includes tiramisu French toast, shrimp and grits, and a breakfast board for two. Tables are booked through Resy, and the restaurant also takes walk-ins.
The public side does have a limit. In Edmond Outlook's account, the patio overlooking the grounds is a favorite spot at Provisions. The rooftop is a different matter. The club's dining page lists the private rooftop patio as a reservation for Platinum Members.
Living in Rose Creek doesn't come with club access. Edmond Outlook notes that membership options are offered to both residents and non-residents of Rose Creek. According to the club's pages, these spaces are for members:
In Hammill's words to Edmond Outlook, The Retreat "has completely changed how members use the club on a daily basis." For non-members, the change is smaller and still real. The café is the one public space in a building otherwise built for members.
The next public date on the club's calendar is Thanksgiving. Neighborhood Provisions is serving a Thanksgiving Day buffet on Thursday, November 26, 2026, starting at 10 a.m., with seating through 2:30 p.m. The Resy listing says reservations are required. Non-member pricing is $69++ per adult and $35++ per child. The listing describes an in-person buffet. Families who would rather not cook can book a table, but they won't be picking up a meal to take home.
The rest of the club's posted November calendar runs right up to Thanksgiving week:
Every event on that list except Singo carries an RSVP link. Anyone who isn't a member and wants to attend should check with the club first.
The Retreat missed its 2024 target, and almost all of it requires a membership. Even so, there's more of the club a non-member can use than before. Neighborhood Provisions covers lunch and dinner, and the café now handles the mornings before lunch service starts.
If you're thinking about what clubhouse access means for a home inside the Rose Creek gate, Laura Loves Houses can walk you through the Rose Creek neighborhood and how gated golf communities across Edmond and NW OKC compare. Schedule a Consultation, and we'll start with coffee at The Retreat.
